Fans of the Boston Celtics can exhale with ease. Head coach Joe Mazzulla said Jaylen Brown worked out on Thursday without limitations.

The star guard missed the team’s last two regular-season games last week due to a finger laceration on his right hand. On Thursday, Brown had some tape on his right hand, but it did not affect him.

The Celtics, who open their playoff run Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET against the Atlanta Hawks in Game 1 of the first round, will undoubtedly benefit greatly from Brown’s injury recovery.

Brown’s regular season with the Celtics was his most significant to date. He averaged 26.6 points and 6.9 rebounds per game, both career highs.

In February, the 26-year-old wing was also chosen to play in the 2023 NBA All-Star Game and is expected to be named to one of the three All-NBA teams.
