Joshua is aiming for his first win since 2020. After losing two straight fights against Oleksandr Usyk, he faces American Franklin to secure his 25th career triumph. The battle between Joshua and Franklin presents a chance for him to triumph despite the added strain
While Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, the two rival heavyweight champions, have been unable to agree on a match for the undisputed belt, if the UK star pulls through, he will be in the running for another world title bout.
Joshua stated, “Looking at the champions, it’s just a shambles“, and he can’t believe there haven’t been any championship-level bouts, you could say.
He said, “I need to complete my work on Saturday.” He is ready for a 12-round fight from round one to round twelve, but he believes in his abilities, counterpunching, and all that to hurt Jermaine.
“I think we’ll see blood.”
Anthony Joshua
Joshua’s assurance shone through, and he claims to have found what he’s been seeking with new trainer Derrick James on his side for this camp and this fight. He said I respect Derrick and believe anything he has to say. The information he dispenses is incredible.
The physical labor is finished. It all comes down to information. It would be best if you exercised your thoughts in that area. Derrick is among the most knowledgeable boxing-related folks I’ve spoken to.
Franklin, who just suffered a defeat, gave a valiant effort in his most recent fight against Dillian Whyte, losing by a majority decision. On Saturday in London, he intends to surprise Joshua.
I succeed whichever it takes. What we’re aiming for, added Franklin, is the knockout. We had more time to prepare for this battle, so I was more prepared. I’ve always had a lot of confidence. If you don’t sincerely believe in yourself, you should be in a different line of work.
“I believe my hand’s getting raised at the end of the fight.”
Jermaine Franklin
Joshua further added: “We’re here to rock and roll.” It’s a significant struggle for me, without a doubt, because it’s enormous and tremendous. My rival has my utmost regard.
