Jrue Holiday Traded To Boston Celtics
In a three-team deal, he was transferred from the Bucks to Portland last week.
According to reports, Jrue Holiday will sign with the Boston Celtics. This transaction only happened four days after he was acquired by the Portland Trail Blazers from the Milwaukee Bucks as part of a three-team deal that saw Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo team up.
Since multiple teams were interested in acquiring Holiday, 33, there was always a chance that the Trail Blazers would deal with him again.
Boston just sent Holiday to the Portland Trail Blazers for Malcolm Brogdon, Robert Williams, a 2024 first-round pick, an unprotected 2029 first-round pick, and a 2024 first-round pick.
“The Celtics were among the teams at the very top of Holiday’s wish list in recent days and expectation is the Celtics are eager to retain him long-term. Holiday has a year left on deal. Boston beat out several teams in both conferences with a significant trade package.”
