Logan Paul Prevents Mysterio From Suffering Career-Ending Injury
After Rey Mysterio executed his trademark move, the 619, Logan Paul won his first WWE championship by using a deft move involving brass knuckles. Mysterio was in midair when Logan Paul used his right-handed swing to bring him down, landing right on the 1-2-3 count.
When Mysterio attempted an acrobatic leap and failed, Paul was able to catch the mask-wearing warrior before he could land on the mat and suffer a career-ending head and neck injury. Despite having only his victory in mind, Paul displayed excellent sportsmanship in their wrestling match.
“I got the bug,” Paul stated during an interview on his participation in The Crown Jewel battle in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Comparatively speaking, boxing is not as natural to me as these activities are. I genuinely feel as though I belong here, despite what others say. I don’t know how many people get the chance to chase after champions and win belts, so I might as well seize this one.”
Paul has demonstrated that he is a valuable addition to the WWE, and as a result, many fans and pundits have been thrilled with his success there and have partially overlooked his contentious history.
Being able to fight at this level is a dream come true, Paul remarked in an interview with ESPN. “I’ve always been a fan of WWE. As I keep demonstrating my status as a WWE superstar, I’m excited for what comes next.”
