The main event of UFC 303 on International Fight Week will feature a lightweight bout between McGregor and Chandler, who normally compete at lightweight.

After losing to Dustin Poirier in his second consecutive bout, the Irish fighter last competed in July 2021 and shattered his leg. After losing to Poirier via submission in November of 2022, Michael Chandler stopped competing.

In under forty seconds, McGregor defeated Donald Cerrone in January 2020, his most recent UFC triumph. The 35-year-old Irishman was a champion lightweight and featherweight in the past.

American Chandler, on the other hand, won the Bellor lightweight championship three times in the past. The 37-year-old’s last victory came in May 2022 when he submitted Tony Ferguson in one of the greatest UFC knockouts ever.
