NBA suspends Patrick Beverly

The National Basketball Association (NBA) has suspended Patrick Beverley for four games without pay, the NBA.com reported on Thursday.

The Milwaukee Bucks star was punished for an altercation with a fan and kicking a reporter out of the interview.

As per reports, the incident happened in the final moments of Game 6 of their first-round series against the Indiana Pacers, which they lost 98-120.

As shown in the video below, Beverley got angry at a Pacers’ fan and threw a ball that hit her in the head. He then asked a different to return the ball, which he did. He then chucked the ball right back at him hard. The altercation continued until other players intervened.

Despite the incident, the Bucks point guard was not ejected from the game. However, he did not return to the court despite Bucks being 20 points behind.

Bev, nevertheless, showed remorse for his actions during his podcast this week.

“It’s an unfortunate situation and shouldn’t have happened. What I did was bad. I have to be better and I will be better,” Beverley said on his podcast this week.

He explained that it all happened because of what the fan said to him, but insisted that the situation could have been avoided.

According to Yahoo Sports, the Indianapolis police are investigating the ball-throwing incident involving Beverley.

But, that wasn’t the weirdest part of the story!

No subscription, no interview!

The Bucks guard literally refused to speak to an ESPN reporter during the interview just because she did not subscribe to her podcast.

“You can’t interview me, coz you don’t subscribe to my pod,” Beverley told the ESPN reporter and asked her to get the mic off his face.

There is no official word on whether an official complaint was lodged against Patrick’s behavior. Nonetheless, NBA did what was right – suspended Bev for four games straight without pay.
