NFL Draft; Cowboys Sign A Practical & Short RB, Deuce Vaughn

The Cowboys selected Deuce Vaughn , NFL Draft; 2023

None of the first six choices of the 2023 NFL Draft went to the Dallas Cowboys, adding a running back. They selected an intriguing talent with the seventh overall pick.Ā

The Cowboys selected Deuce Vaughn, a Kansas State running back who was tiny but had a massive season in college football. He was chosen 212th overall in the sixth round.

Last season, Vaughn was one of the sport’s most dynamic players. With 12 touchdowns, he has 1,936 yards from scrimmage. Vaughan had 1,872 yards and 22 touchdowns the season prior. He was a machine for huge plays.

There’s no doubt about his talent. Because of his stature, the Cowboys were able to choose him in the sixth round: only 5 feet 5 inches and 179 pounds, he. According to CBS, he is the NFL scouting combined most minor players since the data collection began in 2003.

It was a great choice and a precious family momentā€”the son of Cowboys scouts Chris Vaughn and Deuce Vaughn. When the selection was announced, Chris Vaughn gave Jerry Jones and Stephen Jones of the Cowboys a big embrace.

Although a reunion hasn’t been ruled out, the Cowboys let Ezekiel Elliott go this offseason. In either case, they needed more running back depth. Given the difficulties that Vaughn’s size creates in pass protection and maintaining his position on the field, they might not consider him a factor. A unanimous All-American from the previous two seasons is a risky player, but there are worse ones.

In the college game, Vaughn wasn’t too little to have an influence. The Cowboys will determine if any of it applies to the NFL.

Throwback about Deuce Vaughn:

Deuce Vaughan is not currently an NFL player. However, a football player named Deuce Vaughn is a running back for the Kansas State Wildcats in the NCAA. His ability to make major plays on the field and his agility and quickness are well-known.

Deuce Vaughn is a freshman running back for the Kansas State Wildcats football team. He stands at 5’5″ and weighs 168 pounds, but despite his size, he has proven to be a dynamic player on the field.

In his first season with the Wildcats, he rushed for over 600 yards and caught 25 passes for over 200 yards, earning him a spot on the Big 12 All-Freshman team.

He was also named the offensive freshman of the year by the conference. Vaughn is renowned for being elegant, elusive, and skilled at catching passes outside the backfield.
