Nikola Jokic Goes Over And Above, Love For Horses By Scouting Them
Despite being one of the NBA’s top players, Nikola Jokic has a sizable interest in sports other than basketball. The Serbian player’s fascination with horses is well-known. Nikola Jokic genuinely owns a sizable stable of international champion racehorses.
The year 2023 has been the most prosperous for Jokic’s horse stable, he said earlier this month. According to Jokic, he owns horses in France, Italy, and Serbia, among other countries. He is thrilled because they’re all winning races. He adores it [horse racing]. His obsession is it. He is no longer able to play basketball as a result.
Jokic’s passion for the unusual sport has taken him to the point that he has been investigating horses during recent practice sessions with the Nuggets.
On X, one specific piece of behind-the-scenes footage featuring colleague Jamal Murray gained a lot of attention. Jokic’s obsession was delightfully captured by it.
The Serbian is seen taking a break from practice while staring intently at his phone in the footage. Jamal Murray, who was seated next to him, inquired, “Who’s that?” with interest. When Murray questioned his buddy, he answered, “I’m scouting horses,” but he had trouble remembering how many he had. “Right now, like, 7, 8… Uhh, 10, 12,” he responded.
When speaking to Murray, Jokic didn’t even turn to face him. The horse race he was watching had him completely engrossed. Fans were enthralled by the scene and remarked that it was “the most Jokic reaction ever.” One X user quipped that Jokic was prepared to retire and go to a ranch.
