Shortly after the Ryder Cup was held at the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Rome, PGA Tour pro Patrick Cantlay and his fiancée Nikki Guidish wed in a magnificent ceremony at The St. Regis Rome.

After Team USA’s devastating Ryder Cup loss to the Europeans in Rome, the couple’s wedding was happily ever after.

Cantlay wore a black suit and a matching bowtie, while Guidish, a chemist, wore a lovely white strapless gown with an open back.

St. Regis Rome, an award-winning luxury hotel famous for its medieval Italian artwork and architecture, served as the venue for the wedding.

On the mirrored dance floor during the reception, surrounded by white flowers and candles. The couple was enjoying a single dance in front of a live band. Guidish also expressed gratitude for the location and its employees in her Instagram post.

A little over a year later, in September 2022, in Napa, California, Guidish proposed to Cantlay with a magnificent diamond ring. Their first public outing was at the Memorial Tournament in June 2021, and their romantic history is absolutely private.

The marriage was held the day after Team USA’s defeat in the 2023 Ryder Cup, during which the “HatGate” scandal erupted over Cantlay’s reluctance to don the team’s traditional cap.

During the Ryder Cup, Patrick Cantlay refused to wear a team cap in opposition to the fact that competitors are not paid, sparking rumors of a “rift” in the American squad. This story was refuted by the American players and captains, though.
