‘Punteria’: Shakira Composed Soundtrack For 2024 Copa America
Shakira already has a song for the competition that will begin in the United States on June 20.
The 2010 World Cup in South Africa and the 2006 World Cup in Germany both included songs by Colombian music sensation Shakira, who will once again compose the music for the game.
Presenting a song she recently recorded, “Puntería,” from her album “Las mujeres ya no lloran,” she performed it as a duet with Cardi B for the 2024 Copa America.
And this song was selected at the very end for the straightforward reason that, when playing soccer, accuracy is vital in all aspects of the game, including passing, shooting, saving, and facing the goal. Shakira is now back at work contributing her talents to the world’s most popular sport.
From the widely recognized ‘Waka-Waka’ to ‘Puntería’
From June 20 to July 14, which is almost a month away, every soccer fan will be singing “Puntería.” The Colombian singer, along with Ignacio Meyer, the president of Univision Networks Group, made this announcement in New York City on Tuesday afternoon.
A video featuring glimpses of the Colombian singer’s voice was also produced, along with the song’s announcement and its transformation into the official broadcaster of the competition. The singer is still captivating the world of balls with her voice.
With the exception of their statements during the occasion in the skyscraper city, no official presentation or more details were provided.
