Russell Wilson Upsets Broncos Fans & Casts Doubt On His Future

There was a fresh development in the story that complicated the already complex tale of Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos. While Wilson has stated that he wants to stay in Denver, there have been rumors that the Broncos may cut Wilson after just two seasons. In 2024, Wilson did agree, though, that things might change.

During a recent appearance on Brandon Marshall‘s “I Am Athlete” podcast, Russell Wilson was questioned sharply about his uncertain NFL future.

Russell Wilson stated, “as I’ve experienced so much over the last two years, I genuinely feel like I have more fire than ever. I hope I get to finish there, regardless of where it is—in Denver, please. There, I made a commitment and desired to be present. I’d want to attend.”

Willing to remain where they are

Marshall discussed the likelihood that Wilson will sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Atlanta Falcons, among other reported teams, on the show.

In spite of these rumors, the Broncos have a good chance of keeping the seasoned quarterback.

Wilson added, “since I’m in Denver right now, I’ll put Denver 1, but you have to be able to compartmentalize that. You need to be objective about it and limit your control over what you can influence because, after all, this is a business. I have to travel to a location where we can win again if it’s not [in Denver].”
