Steelers Receivers Coach Frisman Jackson Will Not Back

The Steelers are changing up their coaching staff in addition to hiring Arthur Smith as their new offensive coordinator.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac reports that Frisman Jackson will not be taking over as the team’s receivers coach. Jackson has spent the previous two seasons with Pittsburgh.

Additionally, according to Dulac, it’s unclear what the future holds for running backs coach Eddie Faulkner and quarterbacks Coach Mike Sullivan. After Matt Canada was fired by the Steelers during the season, Sullivan and Faulkner shared the role of offensive coordinator.

Former head coach Matt Rhule hired Jackson as the receivers coach for the Panthers in 2020–2021. In 2017, he also covered receiving duties as the Titans’ coach.

Jackson, 44, was a 34-game player for the Browns between 2002 and 2005. 40 receptions for 490 yards and a touchdown were collected by him.
