Winning Indian Wells Title, How Much Money Does Alcaraz Make?
In contrast to Medvedev’s 585,000 as a finalist, the player from Murcia receives a check for 1,100,000.
In the Indian Wells final, Carlos Alcaraz defeated Russian Daniil Medvedev in two sets, 6-7 and 1-6. The Spaniard had to overcome a 3-0 deficit in the opening set.
The Spaniard, who had not triumphed in a competition since his July Wimbledon grass court crown, now shares the 13 trophies won by his native Nico Almagro.
An incentive to earn a title is one of the main draws of competitions such as the Indian Wells Masters 1000. Alcaraz receives a payout of $1,100,000 (or 1,014,601 euros) for winning again in the Californian desert. It’s interesting to note that this is a smaller amount of money than Alcaraz received in the previous edition because the Murcian took home $1,262,220 in 2023.
That’s how much women’s division champion Iga Swiatek gets paid. A total of $585,583 is awarded to Daniil Medvedev and Maria Sakkari, the singles draw finalists.
The Miami Open, which takes place from March 20 to 31, is the next tennis tournament. The prize money for Indian Wells and the second Masters 1000 of the year are identical.
