WR Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins is the subject of an investigation into an alleged assault and battery on Sunday, according to Miami-Dade police.

The event is said to have occurred in Haulover Park, a Miami oceanfront location. Hill allegedly had a “disagreement” with a charter business employee at Haulover Marina and punched him, according to a tip from a viewer initially reported by the city’s WPLG TV station.

Police went to the marina on Monday.

In a statement to ESPN, the Dolphins acknowledged knowledge of the accusations but refrained from further comment.

“We are aware of the situation and have been in contact with Tyreek, his representatives and the NFL.

” the Dolphins said in the statement. “We will reserve further comment at this time.”

After being acquired by Miami in a sensational offseason deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, Hill is starting his second season with the Dolphins. He earned first-team All-Pro honors after recording a career-high 119 receptions, 1,710 receiving yards on 170 targets, and seven touchdowns in his debut season catching passes from Tua Tagavailoa. He lived up to the hype.

WR Tyreek Hill had some previous infractions when he signed with the Dolphins, though.

His reputation was tarnished when he approached the NFL with a 2014 domestic abuse conviction in which he admitted to hitting and choking his pregnant girlfriend, who was 20 at the time.

2019 saw the emergence of a taped conversation in which he advised his fiancée and their kid to be terrified of him, despite his fiancée’s claims that the youngster had said, “Daddy punches me.” He was suspended from team activities and under investigation by child services.

There were no criminal charges or NFL sanctions related to the incident involving his child.
