Draymond Green Grabs Patty Mills By Neck, Displaying Aggression
Draymond Green committed a dangerous foul against Patty Mills.
During the Golden State Warriors‘ 92-113 victory over the Miami Heat, Draymond Green violently attacked Patty Mills by seizing him by the neck.
The crowd at Miami’s Kaseya Center and the television commentators covering the Heat game were shocked to learn that Draymond Green had been called for a basic personal foul when they had anticipated a flagrant one.
With four points, nine rebounds, eight assists, and two steals in the game, the contentious power forward for the Warriors concluded play.
Klay Thompson led the Warriors in scoring with 28 points on 6 of 14 three-pointers, followed by Stephen Curry with 17, Andrew Wiggins with 17 and the rising Jonathan Kuminga with 18 and 7.
Terry Rozier (15), Haywood Highsmith (15), and Bam Adebayo (24+9+5) were the Heat’s standout players.
What makes Draymond Green the NBA’s dirtiest player?
The NBA suspended Draymond Green indefinitely in December 2023 because to his “repeated history of unsportsmanlike actions.”
After his third ejection of the season for punching Phoenix Suns teammate Jusuf Nurkic in the face, the Warriors player was suspended.
Steve Kerr said of Green—who at the time had 20 career ejections, second only to Rasheed Wallace in NBA history—after learning of the ban:
“I think the suspension makes sense.” “I see this as being about supporting Draymond Green more than it is about basketball. It’s a difficult thing to do, but I believe Draymond has the chance to take a step back and adjust both his attitude and his life. You don’t just go, Well, let’s play five games, and he’ll be fine, with that.”
Green and Santi Aldama, a Spanish footballer, got into a fight last week.
