Patrick Kane May Soon Sign With A New Team
Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet claims that we may already know where Patrick Kane plans to sign early this week.
While he heals from hip resurfacing surgery, the former Blackhawks great is still a free agent more than a month into the regular season.
Many have speculated that Patrick Kane would join the Florida Panthers in their quest to return to the Stanley Cup Final. Friedman stated that he thinks Kane has also gathered a great deal of data on the young Red Wings. Kane would reunite with Alex DeBrincat, his former Blackhawks line mate, if they moved to Detroit.
Friedman acknowledged that it’s hard to discern Kane’s true objectives, though.
“Determine his destination is more difficult than solving a puzzle,” according to Friedman. However, he anticipates a decision shortly. “He’s probably down to two or three teams, in my opinion.”
Given that they are only beginning to rebuild, the majority of people think Kane’s chances of returning to Chicago are slim.
Among the most successful players in Blackhawks history is Kane. In terms of points scored (1,225), assists (779), goals (446), and games played (1,161), he is ranked second. His contribution to the team’s three Stanley Cup victories was significant.
