Shohei Ohtani Stuns & Amazes Fans By Speaking Spanish
Los Angeles Dodgers supporters are taken aback and amazed when Shohei Ohtani speaks Spanish.
We were able to see some of the players’ camaraderie this morning as the Los Angeles Dodgers gathered together for their preseason picture shoot. Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Shohei Ohtani of Japan shared a heartfelt message in a lovely 20-second video that took center stage.
Using his phone’s front camera, Teoscar Hernández begins filming in the video. A lovely scene of Spanish lessons between the Dominican player and his two Japanese colleagues is created when Shohei Ohtani, the 2023 season MVP, unexpectedly joins in.
In a split second, Teoscar leads Ohtani to say a hearty “Good morning, fans” to the camera. Remarkably, he manages to greet Yamamoto on his second try and even gets him to say “Good morning” with him.
We’re all eager to watch these two Japanese celebrities continue their Spanish language instruction with the Dodgers, and the anticipation is growing.
This Thursday is the first preseason game that the Dodgers will play, against the San Diego Padres. Manager Dave Roberts has praised Japanese sensation Ohtani’s exceptional preparation and effort even if he won’t be in the starting lineup.
