Top Five NBA Plays That Went Viral This Season
This season, these have been the most seen actions on the networks.
The NBA has released its ranking of the most viral plays. Those that have had the biggest impact on the season during the most watched season in the league’s history. Also, the information is unbiased and focuses on the copies they have made on social media. Furthermore, a few surprises exist. Here we throw some light on top five NBA plays that fans have viewed much this season.
Stephen Curry displays his virtuosity on the opening play as the team behind five to one. He fakes a penetration, feints to shoot, and then smacks home a three-pointer from the corner. A total of 96 million people have watched the play. That is the first viral play of this season among to five NBA plays.
Another Curry virtuoso comes in at number four on the list. The move is incredible, but the Warriors player’s celebration is presumably what made it more well-known and viral. 128 million people saw “Don Steph’s” thrilling play against the Grizzlies.
Third place goes to one of the season’s biggest dunks. For this incredible dunk, Anthony Edwards chooses to take a self-pass against the backboard. In a season where he has given up quite a few, this is one of Ant-Man’s greatest plays. 140 million views in total.
Victor Wembanyama, the only player in this ranking who can turn a layup into a slam, is in second place. There were at least 247 million social media copies of the Spurs rookie’s flight.
It’s interesting that out of all of Luka Doncic‘s offensive plays—thousands of them—a defensive play has the most views on the internet. A play in which Doncic steals the ball, dives to the floor for it, and manages to catch it was seen 250 million times. Irving then passes the ball behind his back to Derrick Jones, who uses it to project an alley-oop for a slam.
