Chris Chelios; Family Applauds Ascent To United Center Rafters Wearing No. 7 Jersey

The Blackhawks hoisted jersey No. 7 of Chris Chelios into the United Center rafters during a protracted ceremony chock with of inspirational tales and poignant remarks.

With his number retired, Chris Chelios becomes the ninth player in Blackhawks history. Glenn Hall (No. 1), Pierre Pilote (No. 3), Keith Magnuson (No. 3), Bobby Hull (No. 9), Denis Savard (No. 18), Stan Mikita (No. 21), Tony Esposito (No. 35), and Marian Hossa (No. 81) are the others he joins.

Chelios recorded 395 assists, 92 goals, and more than 120 minutes of playing time in 664 games with the Blackhawks. He received two Norris Trophies and five All-Star selections while he was a member of the Hawks.
