Israel Adesanya Looms To Break Sean Strickland’s Jaw
A UFC fighter allegedly said that something would happen if Strickland spoke during their fight.
Israel Adesanya is expected to compete for the middleweight championship against Sean Strickland on Saturday, even though his popularity may have waned considerably since 2021.
Adesanya had one more message for Strickland after all the bout preparations were nearly over. According to his warning, if Strickland “runs his mouth” during the fight, he will break his jaw.
Adesanya told TMZ Sports,ย “I do wanna shut him up, and I’m gonna shut him up; I’m gonna break his jaw if he keeps talkin’ to me while he’s in there, trust me,” Adesanya told TMZ Sports. When you’re talkin, you never know when a shot’s coming; the jab can hit you while your mouth is open and send your jaw to the back of your head. Sean should thank me. He got his passport; he got the fight; he gets to travel out of the country for the first time and see the world instead of being a fu*king hillbilly, so he should thank me. He should appreciate that I gave him the opportunity, and he will get paid.”
Israel Adesanya has confidence
As was already noted, the Adesanya steam train had slowed down a little, but following his stunning victory against Alex Pereira at UFC 28 7, he spectacularly recaptured his middleweight title.
Strickland has defeated Nassourdine Imavov twice, and Absupiyan Magomedov should give him more confidence. He still has one of the most mysterious finishes in mixed martial arts.
The actual conflict was intended to proceed slowly. Dricus Du Plessis, the top challenger for his title, was previously scheduled to face Adesanya, but the injury he sustained on September 9 prevented him from competing.
