Messi & Jordi Alba Taken Out During First Half Of Inter Miami Game
Concerning Inter Miami, Lionel Messi had to be replaced before the first half of their MLS match against Toronto FC on Wednesday night.
Messi was returning to the pitch after a two-week rest period, several games during the first month and a half of his time in Miami, and his move to Barcelona. However, before the game’s midway point, Messi asked for a substitution.
Messi missed the national team’s games against Ecuador and Atlanta United on Saturday due to a right hamstring issue, according to Gaston Edul and Vero Brunati.
Not everyone left the game in the first half, including Messi. In actuality, he was the fourth player to be substituted. Only 14 minutes after entering the game for Toronto, Brandon Servania was brought in to replace Victor Vazquez.
Jordi Alba, a teammate of Messi’s, departed the pitch in the 34th minute due to a hamstring injury. As he sat on the bench, ice was applied in Alba’s area.
On Sunday, Inter Miami will meet Orlando City in their next match. The US Open Cup final will be played at home one week from today between them and the Houston Dynamo.
