Tiger Woods watches his son, Charlie, win a major tournament while caddying for him.
Even though Tiger Woods won’t be competing again anytime soon, his kid is making his way up the golfing ranks.
Golf courses are still frequented by Tiger Woods, albeit with him now lugging about a set of clubs rather than using them.

Charlie Woods, who Woods was bagging for at the Notah Begay III National Championship, won his age group in the Last Chance Regional.

Charlie Woods tied for the lead after shooting a 1-under 71 and won his division with a 6-under 66. In early November, he’ll head to Louisiana’s Coushatta Casino Resort to compete in the championships on the Koasati Pines course there.

Below, you can see Charlie (in red, of course) sink a game-winning shot from eight feet out while a friendly face watches from the stands:
Afterward, when Charlie Woods talked to the local media, his voice and cadence were strikingly similar to those of his late father’s, even though Charlie didn’t quite control the conversation like his dad did.
Charlie was overjoyed at the prospect of having his dad caddie for him. It’s fantastic. The two of us live in our own little bubble,” he explained.

Each attempt is taken one at a time. His words humble me. I’ll talk about the next tee shot and he’s like, ‘No. We’ll be concentrating on this particular photo. Look upward. This is the plan, folks.

How is it to go up against the Woods clan? Dad Shane Croft posted an Instagram gushing about how awesome it was that his son Chase played in the event with Charlie.

OK, EPIC wouldn’t be a large enough term to describe today, he wrote. At the Notah Begay tournament held at Mission Resort + Club, Chase was matched alongside Charlie Woods, Tiger’s son. Tiger and I caddied for the boys.

There are simply no words to describe the experience. It was unbelievable to spend four hours alone with Charlie and Tiger. One day, when I’m on my deathbed, my loved ones will recount this tale. And that’s something to be proud of.

Since pulling out of the Masters in April due to multiple injuries, Tiger Woods has not played professionally again. He hasn’t set a certain return date in mind.
