Timberwolves Stun Nuggets in Game 7 to Reach Western Conference Finals
The Denver Nuggets experienced one of the most shocking defeats of the NBA season 2024 as the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated them in Game 7 of the second-round series to reach conference finals on Sunday night.
Nuggets were in a very comfortable position having taken a 20-point lead in the second half. They were well in position to close the series, but Timberwolves had other plans.
This is the first time in the NBA’s 75-year history that a team has turned the game around and won it after being 20 points down in the second half.
After being down and out in the first half, the Wolves made a storming comeback in the second half with a 30-point swing to register a thrilling 98-90 win in Game 7 at Ball Arena on Sunday night. They outplayed the Nuggets 60-37 in the second half.
The resounding victory confirms the Timberwolves’ first berth in the Western Conference finals in two decades.
They will meet the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference finals. Meanwhile, the Eastern Conference Finals will be played between Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtics.
