Unlike Verstappen, Checo Perez Displayed Humility During Miami’s Loss

Checo Perez: What Is Annual Salary Of Red Bull's Driver?

The contract for Charles Leclerc with Ferrari expires at the end of 2024, although he may depart before then.

Checo Perez, a Formula 1 driver, has shown he can handle failure better than his Dutch colleague Max Verstappen.

Perez often comes in last place behind his Red Bull colleague, but this year he has successfully taken home a few victories. He is therefore engaged in a championship race with just 14 points separating the two drivers.

Verstappen, who had a different strategy than Perez and had started from pole position in Miami, caught him after displaying remarkable speed during his first stint on the hard tyre.

Many people noticed immediately that the squad seems sad when Max wins than when Checo does. Max is also quite moody when Checo wins.

While Perez won in Baku, Horner said,

“He had a bit of luck with the safety car; today, he made the most of it and controlled the race.”

Checo was the first to congratulate his teammate on his outstanding first-place result when they arrived in Miami.

“We have a good relationship with Max Verstappen and I even though we want to win. Outside the car we have a good relationship. We are very similar outside the races. That helps the relationship itself.”

His teammate responded to the comment similarly, openly disavowing the “supposed” envy over Perez.

“Checo has very serious goals this year. He’s doing very well and that’s good. He’s getting more and more confident, he’s very comfortable in the team and we all like that.”
